Product Description

Esomeprazole medication treats the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease. This is a condition where condition  backward flow of acid from the stomach causes heartburn. Also, it could lead to possible injury of the esophagus.

How long esomeprazole can be used?
Esomeprazole is usually given for 4 to 8 weeks only. Your doctor may recommend a second course of treatment if you need additional healing time. Use esomeprazole for the full prescribed length of time, even if your symptoms quickly improve.
Side effects of esomeprazole
Common side effects include
  • headache, diarrhea, nausea and abdominal pain. Also, it can cause constipation, dry mouth and drowsiness
    How many esomeprazole can I take?
    The recommended dose is Nexium 40 mg twice a day. Your doctor will adjust the dose depending on your needs and will also decide how long you need to take the medicine for. The maximum dose is 80 mg twice a day.
