Fansidar Tabs (Fanlar) 500Mg 3*25 is indicated for the treatment of acute, uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria for those patients in whom chloroquine resistance is suspected.

Sulfadoxine and pyrimethamine combination may cause some serious side effects. Is generally used only to prevent or treat where serious malaria infections are prominent.

This medicine is usually not recommended with any of the following medicines but may be required in some cases,

1. Carbamazepine.
2. Cholera Vaccine, Live.
3. Methotrexate.
4. Sapropterin.
5. Sulfamethoxazole.
6. Trimethoprim.
7. Zidovudine.
