Nexium 20mg Tablets contains esomeprazole which is a proton pump inhibitor that works by reducing the stomach acid secretion.

Proton pump inhibitors work to relieve acid reflux symptoms by stopping the cells in the lining of the stomach from producing too much acid.

• Its used to treat dyspepsia or indigestion,peptic ulcer disease,gastroesophangeal reflux disease(G.E.R.D) and zollinger Ellison syndrom disease.

Nexium tablets are usually completely safe for most adults. However, you must not take this medicine if:

• • You are allergic to any of the ingredients

  • You are allergic to medicines containing other proton pump inhibitors

  • You are taking a medicine containing nelfinavir (used to treat HIV)
