Product Description

QSITA 50 TABLET contains Sitagliptin, which belongs to the Anti-diabetic drug group. QSITA 50 TABLET is used in adults to treat type 2 diabetes alone or with other anti-diabetic medicines, diet, and exercise. Type 2 diabetes is a condition in which your body does not make enough insulin (a hormone that helps control your blood sugar levels) or the insulin that is produced does not work well. When this happens, glucose levels rise in the blood, leading to serious medical problems like heart or kidney disease and blindness. It can show symptoms like increased thirst, urination, and hunger, blurry vision, numb hands or feet, or tiredness.
Sitagliptin works by slowing down the inactivation of gut hormones released after eating meals. This action increases insulin secretion and decreases glucagon release (a hormone that raises blood glucose level), resulting in an overall increase in blood glucose control. This medicine can be used alone or in combination with other medicines that lower blood sugar, along with food and exercise for diabetes.

QSITA 100 TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding; therefore consult your doctor before taking it. QSITA 50 TABLET is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. The most common side effects of taking QSITA 50 TABLET are low blood sugar, headache, upper respiratory infection, stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, osteoarthritis, and arm or leg pain. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
